It was a herculean effort to make it happen but WE DID IT!! The blonde mamas went to the cottage to celebrate Heidi's 50th birthday! 2020 has been so strange and the normal "getting together" with friends is hard. There are different comfort levels with the ladies about being together. Mitchells already had COVID but the rest of us have not. No one wants to be the one with a bad outcome OR bring it home to their family or elderly parents (who statistically are the most at risk population).
We had such a great time together. We ate in with yummy food...my friends are such great cooks! Some did not feel comfortable going to a restaurant and it worked out well. We had fires everynight and ate really well! After our weekend, Michigan's governor shut down restaurants for indoor dining. She also set an executive order in motion that limits amount of people in homes which seems like a gross government over reach and one that we will not comply with but will do what makes sense for our family based on our own decisions on the matter.
